Job Summary
SAP ABAP SME for a Pharmaceutical company in Indianapolis, United States of America. The candidate is expected to be a senior member of a technical team for SAP support and maintenance project.
The candidate should possess in-depth technical knowledge in the SAP ABAP module. The candidate should have proven expertise in developments and supporting SAP and SAP-integrated systems, enabling supply chain management, human resources, and financial business processes.
In the SAP ABAP SME role, you will have the opportunity to develop innovative technical solutions to meet dynamic business needs as well as collaborate with our business partners, influence the processes, tools and operating models to support our global operations. You will ensure that these services are provided on time, on budget, and in a quality and compliant manner in order to meet required business outcomes
Job Description
ROLE and Responsibilities
• Understand and deliver SAP / ABAP solutions, modify reports, interfaces, and work to deliver complete solutions to our global business partners
• Be forward thinking with respect to using various SAP technologies which will help improve the user experience.
• You will need to guide/mentor/lead the team for successful project deliveries.
• Lead and participate in day to day operations, improvements and projects. This includes understanding business impact, quantifying resources, and evaluating/recommending technical options.
• Ability to communicate technical issues, capabilities, limitations in layman terms to non-technical persons
• You will be dealing with customer on day to day basis and win customer confidence.
• Responsible for preparing proposals and effort estimates for project changes.
• Interact and collaborate with global, regional and local Business Partners as appropriate, in order to better understand the business and its priorities, and represent their requirements within SAP.
• Identify and ensure delivery of knowledge transfer needs between IT and our business partners
Required Skills and experience
• Should have at least two-three end to end implementation projects and at least one where performed as ABAP SME role preferably at client location.
• Familiarity with SAP Notes and upgrade activities (SPAU / SPDD) as well as technical standards and standard methodologies.
• Expertise in ABAP RICEFW objects development and support.
• Experience working in a regulated industry (i.e. GMP/ SOX) and delivering within that environment
• Good understanding of business processes in the life sciences / pharmaceutical domain.
• Ability to understand business requirements from business users and prepare requirement document, technical specifications.
• Handled post go live critical issue resolving till stabilization.
• Should have worked on S/4 Hana projects
• Knowledge of S/4 HANA on ABAP and Code scanning tool - Virtual Forge CP for ABAP will be an added advantage.
