• Plan and Develop Projects from planning through closing
• Manage Budgets
• Ensure work performed is within scope and is consistent with requirements and standards
• Make effective decisions when presented with multiple options on how to progress
• Provide solutions to improve efficiency
• Monitor issues and provide resolutions
• Create effective status reports
• Perform day-to-day management of project teams, identify issues and risks, and recommend possible issue and risk mitigation strategies
• Create long- and short-term plans and adhere to deadlines and allocate resources
• Delegate tasks to resources best positioned for completion
• Adjust schedules and targets as needed
• Motivate people involved to follow standards and to complete tasks on time

• Understanding of the Project Management Institute (PMI) methodology
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to interact, communicate with, and build relationships with team members with diverse backgrounds, knowledge, and experience
• Ability to multi-task and manage various projects simultaneously
• Strong leadership skills, problem solving, and strategic thinking
• Attention to detail
• Ability to adapt to a changing environment

Education and Experience:
• Requires a bachelor’s degree or Associate degree for equivalent work experience in computer science, health information, or related field
• Requires 5 years of experience in project management or related areas
• Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
• Experience working and communicating with skilled non-technical staff
• Experience in IT project management preferred
• Experience in public health or government industries preferred
